Christ's Family Life Church Leadership
Christ's Family Life Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Samuel de Asis
Senior Pastor
Pastor Sam de Asis, is the founding Pastor of Christ's Family Life Church and currently the President and Chairman of the Board. He is happily married with his wife Mel with thier only son Jared.
Pastor Sam holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Universilty of Santo Tomas, Philippines. He completed his Associates Degree on Biblical Studies at Western Bible College in Phoenix, AZ. He came to know Christ as his Lord and Savior during his college Sophomore years, then served in a local church where he found his gift of music. After working for a few years in the Philippines, Sam moved overseas to Taiwan, working in a semiconductor company that eventually helped him move to the U.S.. It was there in Taiwan, where Sam, found his calling in the Ministry. He was one of the founding members of a Filipino church in Kaohsiung City and served as the Worship Director and Preaching Minister. Two years later, he Lead a church-planting team in nearby city of Kangshan and Pastored it before moving to another job assignment in Thailand.
In the year 2000, he moved to the U.S. together, with his wife, Mel. In the next ten years, Sam and Mel, helped plant two local churches in the East Valley of Metro Phoenix. After a short relocation in Austin, TX in 2010, they went back to Arizona in 2012, discerning a new move of God in their lives. Three years later, Christ's Family Life Church was born and is now serving as Senior Pastor.
In May 2020, Pastor Sam recieved his ordination within the Assemblies of God Fellowship and CFLC also became officially affiliated with the AG Network of Churches.
Melita "Mel" de Asis
Assistant Pastor
Pastor Mel serves as an assistant pastor for Pastor Sam helping in pastoral care and in small group development. Mel also heads the church's intercessory ministry called CIA - Christ's Intercessors Army.
Mel is a jolly person, loves to laugh, and enjoy hanging out in fellowship with fellow sisters thru dining and window shopping. Mel is passionate about prayer, and leads other church members in early morning prayers and weekly intercessions.
Aside from her church duties, Mel is also a full-time registered nurse in behavioral health facility. She finds joy in helping people with mental health problems find healing and restoration, with God.
